Hornady 6.5 SST 123 gr ammo

Posted by Gary Hammock on Nov 24th 2022

One bad boy for whitetail deer. 8 pt buck. Quartering away. Reared up on hind legs & fell. No movement Spike , broadside double lung. Dropped where he stood Big Doe, broadside, double lung. Dropped where it stood. Big Doe, broadside, 163 yds., made a bad shot. Destroyed both shoulders. Dropped about 10 yards away. I’ve shot many deer double lunged with my 270, 130 gr core-lok. They’ve always ran 15-25 yds. I can’t explain why these two deer dropped where they stood from a double lung, except the lungs were destroyed. Hornady 6.5 SST 123 gr bullet. One bad bullet What really sold me on the SST was the 8 pt buck, field dressed 132 lbs. Shot him with a “6mm Hornady “95 gr. SST”
